So what are you going to do after you arrive?
After you have made the money you wanted, you bought the dream home, created a business and arrived at the beach in the tropical destination free of worries.
What are you going to do after you’ve made your dreams come true?
Will you be happy?
Are you sure?
Or maybe after you have made the first million you will think, ‘I want another million; it will make me even happier.’
And once you arrive at the destination for how long are you going to be happy lying on the beach sipping margaritas? Forever? Are you sure?
So, what’s the point? What is the point in striving, waiting, working hard and dreaming?
Because in the process of achieving it you have somehow, often without even noticing, become a better person. Stronger, more resilient, more mindful maybe a tad bit wiser. Isn’t that the ultimate goal?
As we become better, we become happier.
So yes, dream on! Because if you don’t dream, you won’t move your bum and you won’t step outside the house.
But making the dream a goal in itself is a trap that we all fall into. Because dreams never end. And so does the journey. The goal is the journey. The goal is the person you could become in the process. And the success, the dream destination, money – those are byproducts. Only when you see them this way will you be able to truly be happy.
You will become free.
