Pati’s Weekly Bite # 24 – Time flies when things change!

Pati's Weekly Bite # 24 - Time flies when things change!

I can’t believe February 2022 is nearly over! Can you?

This February, a few things happened, so I wanted to share them with you. First of all, I turned 45! Yes, that still comes as a surprise to me, actually every year! Inside, I consider myself ageless, yet when I need to reconsider my hair colour to cover my greys… hm… Some things have changed!

The same month I turned 45, I was also celebrating the second anniversary of my blog launch.

It’s funny how one of the first articles I wrote was about how I consider myself a late bloomer. I still do, and I still think I am only just starting!

So much has happened since I launched it in February 2020. A global pandemic, I quit my job, travelled for 10 months, returned to Poland…

Oh yes, I didn’t tell you about that one yet.  If you think the blog is over and so are the travels… Trust me, it is far from over.

It was exactly a year ago that I took a risk. I quit my job when I had no other online income, imagining that in 10 months I will be able to produce the life of my dreams. Well, I did. But it didn’t pay the bills. Yet 🙂

After trying to settle in Gibraltar, the universe decided that this was not the way for me. Certain I will find a job within a few weeks, the joke was on me.

I always used to say that I never come back. Every time I said I would, I never did. You know what they say – there is so much world out there and so little time. But I gave it a go, and I came back to the town of La Linea and tried to find a job in neighbouring Gibraltar.

I found it different from what I left, but isn’t it always the case? And I think I have changed as well. My priorities have changed. I am not the person I was 3 years ago. And I think what I manifested reflected my state of mind and soul and time. So I couldn’t find a job and I had to make a decision. Yeah, it was time to come back home. After 20 years.

I left Poland when I was 25 years old and only a couple of years into my emigration, I was pretty sure I would never come back. I mean for good. But hey, life’s funny.

But am I back for good? You know me, what do you think? I’m a gipsy at heart. An Endless wanderer and seeker. Can I stay anywhere for longer? Stick with me and we will see where this path will take me.

For now, I am embracing the winter and looking forward to writing about my own country. Of course, I already have a list of places I want to visit and write about. I always have a list!

For now, I am embracing the winter and looking forward to writing about my own country. Of course, I already have a list of places I want to visit and write about. I always have a list!

I have so many plans and exciting projects that actually I really appreciate this time I gave myself to settle a little, work on this blog, connect with you and work even harder on growing my business. The dream is well and alive, probably even more now than before! So stick around and let’s see what the future holds.

For now, happy travelling and keep dreaming!

Pati's Journey Within

Hi, I’m Pati. A traveller, photographer (aspiring), dreamer and hopeless believer in magic. I caught the travel bug in my forties – and not planning to look back any time soon. I travel solo and on a budget and I try to spend as much time and effort as possible to truly immerse myself in the country I am visiting.

Whether you are like me and decided to change your life around a new dream or just wandering (because not all who wander are lost) – I am here to tell you that everything is possible.
